For people living a high-stress lifestyle, an out-of-balance nervous system is easily triggered by life events. The “fight, flight or freeze” mechanism kicks in, releasing cortisol into the body. Unless the person is able to fully relax, the ongoing cortisol production makes that person more susceptible to illnesses and diseases.

During this workshop, both authentic yoga and mindful meditation will be used to elicit a relaxation response, and help the brain rewire itself. Yoga postures are tools for releasing tension, resistance and blockages trapped in the body. The practice also deeply balances the nervous system and strengthens the immune system.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and a water bottle. For more information, visit
