Roots of Change: The Science of Self @ Mayu Sanctuary
1 Sunday/Month/6 Months
9:30pm – 12:30pm

Acharya, Michelle Anne, a lineage holder, shares powerful accessible tools for moving from stress/anxiety to freedom/peace.

Find out who you really are. Stop suffering.

Dive deep into self-inquiry.

This immersion is an opportunity for anyone who wants to make lasting changes in their life, whether in health, relationships or finding meaning/direction. The course is open to anyone. No experience is necessary.

Packed with neuroscience to explain how meditation and yoga change you at a cellular level.

Neuroplasticity shows our ability to restructure and recondition our brain to learn new ways of thinking and acting. Mindfulness practices including yoga and meditation are scientifically proven as effective methods to create lasting change in health, quality of life and overall well-being in life. This immersion is a safe environment in which anyone can connect to their center, find lasting change, deepen their belief in themselves, and find their stride.

Learn to let go in a safe environment, change your life from the inside out and feel inner peace and lightness.

“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them,” Albert Einstein. Thus, in order to change our perception, of ourselves and the world we will use principles of yoga science to make an energetic shift from “thinking and doing to feeling to being”. From this state, it is possible to consciously choose and make changes in our lives that create a whole new you. Michelle will uncover many ancient secrets that Swami’s and Yogi’s understood thousands of years ago that science is recently supporting.

These teachings are offered by Acharya, Michelle “Shakti” Anne, the Founder/Executive Director of The Masters Course, a Denver-based Mindfulness and Stress Mastery company. Anne, traditionally trained in yogic philosophy has studied yoga and meditation for over 20 years. She has been bestowed the title of Acharya by her teacher, Yogi Amrit Desai and trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn, a professor of Medicine Emeritus, and creator of the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and trained with thought leaders in Neuroscience at the American Institute of Stress.

This course offers an opportunity to develop a spiritual family at a core level.

“We hope to create a beautiful community in this immersion where students build lasting friendships that support their soul, states Michelle-Shakti. “Community is at the core of everything we do.”

Includes study of the Yoga Sutras (threads of wisdom).

  • I instantly connected with Michelle and felt the deeper energy that she brings to her classes. I have studied yoga in India and practiced around the world, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have found a similar teaching method right here in Denver. I really appreciate how Michelle mixes eastern philosophies with western medicine, which creates space for everyone to connect and better understand the practice. I have cherished the time spent with her in class, and I utilize her teachings in everyday life. I’m halfway through the Roots of Change course and I have noticed a positive shift in so many areas of my life – personal growth and acceptance, relationships, work, and how to follow through with intentions I have set. Thank you, Michelle, for everything you have given me!
  • I’m currently enrolled in Michelle’s 10-month ‘Roots of Change’ workshop in Denver, and after only a few sessions it has proven to be a transformational experience of growth in self-compassion and increased emotional intelligence in all areas of my life. For the first time in many years of practice, I’ve been able to observe my thoughts and emotions for longer stretches at a time in my everyday routine rather than simply during quiet times of meditation and reflection. With Michelle’s guidance and knowledge, I have been able to bring the practice of mindfulness meditation and yoga off the mat and into my everyday life, and it’s been BEAUTIFUL! As a guide and teacher, Michelle is extremely relatable, down to earth, and inclusive. Her many years of experience and devotion to her students allows for a safe place to share and grow both individually and as a ‘family’ or group. She is genuinely invested in helping others and changing lives, and I’m so very grateful to be part of this program!
